Community Fellows

The primary purpose of the Community Fellow in Resident program is to resource community members directly. Fellows will be chosen in a number of different fields (visual artists, writers, data scientists, illustrators, etc) who can each contribute a distinct expertise and perspective on the cultural asset mapping project. Each fellow will be partnered with each of our centers to help us create, build, and disseminate the cultural asset map. These Fellowships are key to The Engaged City.

These fellowships are offered to community activists, artists, and stakeholders.

The fellowship term is up to one year. Fellows will have access to university resources and will be invited to contribute to the WashU community.

Fellows will be invited to engage with the other fellows in residence, both the Engaged City fellows as well as the fellows and interns in residence each semester at each of the host centers.  Fellows will contribute to content for the cultural asset map as well as the process of building out map elements (creative practice, data collection, etc).
